About Kenpo Tigers

The Kenpo Tigers of Maryland (Kenpo Tigers) is a 501(a) non-profit tax exempt organization under the internal revenue code dedicated to providing a learning environment for youth, young adults and adults. The Kenpo Tigers started in 1996 simply as a team to allow children to compete at local, regional and national tournaments. It has since grown into a organization dedicated to the development of our youth and young adults utilizing Kenpo karate and the martial arts as a foundation.

Students taking Kenpo karate and other martial arts develop a strong foundation of self-confidence, self-esteem, self discipline, as well as respect for themselves and others. In the majority of cases, students who train in the martial arts see not only improvement in their physical skills, but also tend to improve academically.
